Until me and hardik have discussed what we'll be doing for the main engine, I've been thinking about using RPG Maker XP as a start in my own journey to becoming an amateur programmer.

See, If I could learn to program, I'd never have a problem making games. Since I could play both roles, this is a fairly easy engine, although limited in it's features, but if I can get the scripts down, I can make it do more.

Well, i'll see what can be done with it. If it comes down to it, the first demo may be put into this, depending on what it can do.

I won't let the demo be a pure pushover, but mainly just to show off the games graphics, and have just a spot to hang out in the mean time, maybe with some nice clothes and hair, could be sort of a chat spot for us til we get the real thing going.

Also some jutsu and minor attack animations.

Although, I still wonder about the creator of the base we're using. Hmm... I really wanted those running animations, and i'm not fond of creating animations for a base that isn't mine for fear of illegible credits being given.

All that aside, i'll see what this thing can do after I toy around with it for a few hours or so!

Hmm,Rpg Maker, i fooled around with that for a bit, very easy to use even for someone like me with no knowledge whatsoever, I look forward to seeing what you can pull off with it.

I bet you'll do fine for the demo, and honestly, I think you should go with whichever engine Hardik is best with, if it's Eclipse then go with it because there will ALWAYS be another step up you could take so you'll never really be able to finish and I've heard that along with Solor Eclipse, they might make a convertor for converting Eclipse files straight to Solor Eclipse files with no hassle. This is just heresay from my friends but I think it would/will be helpful if they do.

I was on youtube and the RPG maker website yesterday.

Some people have pulled off great things with RPG maker. It's actually a lot more powerful if you learn Ruby and toy around with it.

There's even a "3D" script, but really called Mode 7 which changes the angle of RPG maker, and makes everything look 3D. It's pretty epic.
